How to use VMC to verify chain information
- Add your offer in Reapit in the usual way (all offer information will pull through to ViewMyChain).
- Select the ‘Chain’ option.
- Select ‘ViewMyChain’ (not ‘Agency Cloud’).
- This is your 'link'. If your buyer is selling a property, select the ‘Add’ option below your listing.
- Enter the postcode of your buyers property, click ‘Search’ and select the correct address from the drop-down menu to verify it with OS/Land registry data.
- Select the selling agent from the drop-down menu. If the agent does not appear in this list, simply select 'Create a new listing', then ' Search for a branch'.
- Select 'Submit'.
If you are aware of the vendors onwards purchase at this stage, you can also add this chain link by simply selecting 'Add' above your chain link and repeating steps 5-7. When an onward chain link is added, VMC will automatically detect and include any additional related transactions to the vendors purchase property, as it would for the buyers property.
ViewMyChain will present you with comprehensive chain information relating to your buyers property including any associated links (if applicable), details of the selling agent and specific progress updates for each property in the chain assuming they have already been proceeding.
With the information ViewMyChain has provided, you can now better qualify and understand the position of your potential buyer before making any recommendations to your client.
