Release - 8th April 2025

Introducing drag & drop emails, new filter options and feature enhancements!

Drag & Drop Emails

Logging communication within VMC is now easier than ever with our new drag & drop functionality.

Simply drag an email from Outlook directly into VMC notes - it's that easy! Once added, you can proceed to tag your note to a specific property, assign it to a milestone group, or make it visible to other parties involved in the chain.

Step up your admin with just a drag and drop!

New Law Firm Filter

You can now filter Listings by 'Law Firm', which refers to the Conveyancer Company assigned to each Listing.

The results will show cases from the logged-in user's branches where either the seller’s or buyer’s Conveyancer Company matches the selected Law Firm.

New Case Handler Filter

Additionally, you can now filter Listings by 'Case Handler', referring to the Conveyancer contact(s) assigned to each listing.

Results will include listings where the selected contact is assigned as either the seller or buyer Conveyancer contact.

Existing Feature Enhancements

Update to Milestone Logic for Probate Transactions

In probate transactions, buyers are typically advised not to order searches, apply for a mortgage, or book a survey until the Grant of Probate has been applied for.

To reflect this, the logic behind the following statuses has been updated:

  • Searches Not Ordered

  • Mortgage Not Yet Applied

  • Survey Not Booked

  • Survey Not Booked in Chain

These statuses will now exclude properties that meet all of the following criteria:

  • The transaction type is Probate

  • The Grant of Probate Applied milestone is not present

  • The Grant of Probate Received milestone is not present

Audit Trail UI Enhancement

To improve usability and reduce visual clutter, the 'Listing ID', 'Address', and 'Branch' columns are now hidden on the first tab of the Listing Audit Trail.

These columns remain visible on the ‘Linked Transactions’ tab.

Update to Conveyancer and Selling Agent Invite Flow

Inviting a Conveyancer or Selling Agent to VMC is now simpler. The invite process no longer requires the contact to be assigned to a 'Company' or 'Branch' at the time of invitation, reducing the number of steps involved in the invite process.

Additionally, when a Conveyancer or Selling Agent contact is created on a listing, VMC will now automatically detect and assign the appropriate 'Company' and 'Branch' to the contact.

We hope that these new features enhance your already smooth transactions with ViewMyChain!
