Introducing the Contact Book/Onward Chains at Offer Stage and User Interface Updates!
Ability to Build Onward Chain on Offers
You can now manually add onward chain links at Offer Stage within VMC. When an onward chain link is added, VMC will automatically detect and include any additional related transactions to the vendors purchase property.
Onward Chain Offer Ingestion
Onward chains, meaning the vendors onward purchase and any subsequent chain links, will now be automatically ingested via the API at Offer Stage if this information has already been entered into your Reapit platform.
This update applies to all new offers moving forwards.
Offer Chain Contact Ingestion
Automatic Contact Pull-Through: If a contact exists in your Reapit database and is associated with your property within the chain, this information will automatically populate in VMC via the API. You can update these contacts in VMC, and any changes made to contacts pulled from Reapit will be pushed back to the original Reapit record.
External Transactions: For properties in the chain that are not your own, any contact updates you make in VMC will not sync back to Reapit, and changes made in Reapit will not update in VMC.
Offer Chain Related Companies Ingestion
Along with chain links, related companies will also be ingested from Reapit if they are already set up. The Company Type which can be ingested include:
-
Seller Conveyancer
-
Buyer Conveyancer
-
Lender
-
Mortgage Advisor

Contact Book now Available at Offer Stage
The Contact Book, previously only accessible on Listings in VMC, will now appear at the Offer Stage. The Contact Book at Offer Stage functions the same way as it does on live Listings (those that are Sold STC).
What this means for you:
- Ensure accurate Buyer, Seller and Conveyancer details sooner - no need to wait until the offer is Sold STC to verify.
- Add contact information for links up and down the chain sooner, reducing admin work later down the line. Sales Progressors will have all the chain contact information they need upfront, meaning better communication internally and externally.
- Get a clearer view of the chain from the start, including all involved parties, allowing you to make an even stronger recommendation to your vendor.
Note: If certain contacts, i.e. Conveyancers, are missing, you can add them directly from the Offer Detail screen. However, contacts added in VMC will not be reflected in Reapit - these will store in your VMC database.
Enhanced Buyer Information Display
Buyer details are now shown in a table format, allowing multiple contacts to be displayed at once. Click-to-email and click-to-dial functionality is also available at this stage.
Buyer contacts can also be updated with a simple click on the pencil button next to each contact. Changes made on contacts ingested from Reapit will be pushed back to the original contact record.
We hope that these new features enhance your already smooth transactions with ViewMyChain!
