The VMC app is designed to allow visibility of properties involved in a chain even if those properties are managed by different branches of the same company or organisation. This ensures that data is not restricted across branches when using the VMC.
Currently, Reapit's security settings can override configurations set in the Reapit App Marketplace. This can lead to data restrictions where agents are unable to see the full property chain if some properties are managed by other offices within the same organisation. For agents using VMC, this causes issues when building and viewing complete chains.
Solution: Installing the VMC server app at an organisational level would allow VMC to access the chained properties from across different branches of the same organisation. This ensures that:
- Only Offices Subscribed to VMC Will Have Access:
- The VMC app will be accessible only to the offices that have subscribed to the service, maintaining data security and privacy.
- Full Chain Visibility for Subscribed Offices:
-
The App provides additional visibility of chained properties where such properties are listed by other branches within the same organisation. This allows agents to build and view complete chains without data restrictions.
-
By installing VMC at an organisational level, companies can overcome the limitations imposed by Reapit's existing security settings and ensure smoother workflows for their agents.
Please note: Once a property has been mapped within ViewMyChain, it cannot be reassigned to a new branch. If you need to move the property to a different office, please ensure this is done prior to marking it as 'For Sale - Available' in your Reapit platform.
Please note that this IS NOT widening access to VMC beyond the authorised users of the VMC app.
