Getting Started as a Consumer

Welcome to ViewMyChain! Our Consumer View allows you to have complete oversight of the sale that you are involved in.

Log into ViewMyChain:

1.   Your conveyancer or agent will send you an invitation to log into ViewMyChain. Check        your inbox and open the email, which will look like this:Picture9

2.   Click 'Confirm now' and follow the on-screen instructions to create a secure password.        This will allow you to log in to ViewMyChain.

My Properties Page:

Once you have logged into ViewMyChain, you are immediately presented with the listing transaction which you are involved in on the 'My Properties' page.

My Properties - Listing Information:

  1. Property Address: The address of the property you are purchasing or selling.
  2. Buying/ Selling tag: This tag indicates whether you are buying or selling.

  3. Estate Agent Branch Information: The agent who is selling the property. Picture13
  4. House Icon: Your property appears in blue, while the other properties in the chain are shown in grey.

  5. Searches Status Icon: Indicates the status of searches related to the listing. Picture15
  6. Price: The asking price of the property.
  7. View Chain Map Button: Provides a visual representation of the property’s chain.Picture16

Listing Navigation:

Select your listing from 'My Properties' to view your transaction. From here, you can see the full chain view and the stages of the sales cycle.

Sale Categories: Here, you'll find key stages of your sales transaction, with milestones and information listed behind each category.Picture19

  • Green colour: This shows that the Milestone has completed.
  • Orange colour: Indicates that the Milestone is not yet complete.
  • White colour: Indicates that no information has been received.

 
Milestone Detail: Click the sales category, i.e. 'SSTC' to view the milestone information. ViewMyChain will automatically update the milestone date fields as information is received.

Section 1 - Property, Agent and Client Information 

  • From a listing, the blue box displays the property and agent information.

Section 2 – SSTC 
  • To access your sales progression milestones, click the ‘SSTC’ heading.
  • ViewMyChain will automatically update the milestone fields as information is received.

Section 3 – Searches

  • ViewMyChain will provide local authority search status updates (where information is available) including date ordered and date delivered.

Section 4 – Funding

  • This section will display mortgage-related updates.

  • Milestone updates will be provided by ViewMyChain where available.

  •  This area will help you to monitor the progress of your deal and ensure everything is on track to meet your specified dates.
